Google has launched an activity recommendation engine called Schemer into invite-only private beta.
In a post on Google+, Schemer introduced itself as a tool for helping people discover, schedule and share things to do in the offline world, such as playing the big piano at FAO Schwarz in Manhattan, or setting up a movie marathon. Activities, or schemes, will be recommended to users based on a variety of factors, including their location and past activities. The engine will be integrated with Google+ accounts, so users can search, save and invite friends to join their schemes.
